Cranedance

Thursday, February 17, 2011

During a few weeks, there was a show@Sentosa. It was called "cranedance".

Good name, since it involved two (construction-)cranes, acting as giant cranebirds.

It was a short (only 10 minutes) multimediashow: the two cranes, big screens as their bodies with projections on them, water'fountains' as giant wings, light and music.

But surprisingly well done; to make two metal cranes really look like dancing, loving, mating birds....bravo!

Very poetic.

For those of you who would like an even better impression, also check out the link at the bottom of this blog. It's a short video, so you see them move and hear the music.

They wake up.

Look eachother in the eye.

Amazing how well the water gives you the idea of feathered wings!

Just like wings, right?

Here is the link to the video. Hope it works. If not, type it urselves in google or url-bar....
Enjoy!
